Interested in learning more about Christianity? Starting Point is our Bible information class for those who want to explore the foundations of the Christian faith. Whether you’re new to the faith, coming from another background, considering membership at our church, or just curious about Christianity in general, this class provides a clear and conversational introduction to what we believe and why.
Dive into God’s Word with us during our Sunday morning Bible class. Each week, we gather to explore Scripture, ask honest questions, and grow in our understanding of God’s truth and grace. Looking for a quieter, more personal space to grow in God’s Word? Our Thursday morning Bible study offers a smaller group setting, where we take time to read, reflect, and discuss Scripture together. The type of study may vary—sometimes topical, sometimes through a book of the Bible—but always grounded in Christ.
This group is ideal for those who appreciate deeper conversation, meaningful application, and a more intimate setting for learning and encouragement in the faith.
At Victory, we are pleased to offer support groups through GriefShare.
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
Looking for more? This class is for those who want to explore the richness of Christian doctrine at a thoughtful, unhurried pace. Guided by A Summary of Christian Doctrine by Edward W. A. Koehler, we walk through the central teachings of the Christian faith: what Scripture reveals about God, humanity, salvation, the Church, and the life of a believer.
This class is designed for anyone who desires a firmer foundation in what Christians confess and why it matters. Whether you’re new to the study of doctrine or looking to strengthen and refresh what you already know, you’ll find a welcoming space to ask questions, engage the text, and grow in understanding.
Not finding the class you’re looking for? Victory offers a variety of studies for different ages and levels, and we’re glad to help you find one that fits. We also know Jacksonville is a large city, and getting to our campus at the posted times isn’t always practical. For that reason, we have small-group Bible studies that meet throughout the area during the week.

Our Sunday School program, BLAST, is designed for kids from 3K through 9th grade to grow in faith, build friendships, and explore God’s Word in a fun, age-appropriate environment.
Each week, children engage with Scripture through interactive lessons, music, crafts, and activities that help them Believe in God’s promises, Learn his Word, and Seek his Truth. Whether they’re just starting to discover Bible stories, digging deeper into God’s Word, or learning to defend their faith, BLAST equips young hearts and minds to know Jesus and make him known.
Our Catechism Class is a two-year course for 7th and 8th grade students, focused on a deep study of Lutheran doctrine as taught in Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism. Rooted in a partnership between parents and pastor, this program equips students to understand, articulate, and live their faith. The course culminates in Confirmation, as students publicly affirm their faith and commitment to Christ and His Church.
Life Groups are where Christian community takes root at Victory. Each group is shaped by the people in it, and there’s no set curriculum everyone follows. Most groups gather people in similar stages of life and meet regularly to simply do life together in a Christian environment.

Mornings with Mommy isn’t preschool, and it isn’t childcare. It’s something different. Mornings with Mommy is fun and easy way for you to enjoy activities with your children and meet other parents.
Victory’s Youth Group meets monthly for exciting events and outings. Primarily for youth grades 4–9, this group seeks to facilitate socialization and friendships between youth in a Christian setting.
